Default The sad thing about the 150 million dollar Paramount payout?

I don't know what the exact sales here are, but I'm damn sure that from inception to death, all studios combined will sell less than 50 million HD DVD discs. Which would mean, at $30 retail, HD DVD reps could have actually gone around with that money and bought the discs to throw away, effectively doing more for HD DVD than the payout was worth.

Now, I don't know about you, but to me, that's priceless.

I hate to poo on this thread, but $150 million divided by $30 = 5 million discs.

DUH! I guess the question would be then if Paramount will sell a total of 5 million discs on HD DVD. Damnit, I feel like a dumbass though.

Its all good. It was a pretty funny point. It may have been enough to convince warner to stay neutral if it happened!
