Was going to see this today in 3D but I've woken up to an absolute bugger of a cold and don't want to be 'that guy' in the cinema who sniffles etc all the way through. Hopefully I'll be better tomorrow.

Good on you for caring about the people around you. Many people don't give a toss about being 'that guy'. Get well soon!

Good on you, mate!

Too many people go to the cinema with something communicable, lacking any consideration for others. The amount of times I've been and - 3 days later - develop a cold is innumerable.

Take it easy, hit the Beechams' Flu-Plus and drink plenty of fluids.

Try to avoid spoilers, too...

Funnily enough, I'm pretty sure I got it from 'that guy' during Jack Reacher yesterday.

I'm hoping to see this this week. Don't think I can make it to IMAX but thinking this one might actually be worth seeing in 3D. Thoughts?

If it's anything like previous Marvel films, then the 3D will be what the 3D forum section would call "medium" 3D. Average depth etc. If you check that part of the forum out over the coming days, they'll give some pretty solid opinions about the 3D.

EDIT: Seems to be a lot of praise for the 3D knocking about saying it's really strong and better than normal for Marvel.

Given that they really channel Steve Ditko's outre work, it practically begs for great 3D.

I too saw it today, and was particularly impressed with the visuals. It's already dominating much of the discourse but this really is 'out there' for an MCU picture. Even away from the aesthetics it's an impressive piece of work. I think Strange is going to be a real crowd-pleaser of a character too.

I too was absolutely floored by the visuals. Did NOT like the movie overall though.

I think that the Big sleeve really work in this films 'retro 70's psychedelic rock' style of the film. Wasn't sold on the previous films in this collection but I really think this works!

It says the steelbook is sold out -- is it actually sold out, or is it just not available to order yet?

It's sold out, it's been up available to order twice before. That's not to say that some won't be cancelled & put up for sale at a later time, but for now Zavvi's print run has sold out.
