Is it only available as a Digipack? Surely it won't be limited if so.

I presume at some point it will switch to a normal plastic case.

Yer that's what I'm assuming. But how long will that take? I don't think it will sell all that well. People didn't watch it in droves (to my knowledge). I don't want to pay over the odds for inferior packaging

It would be nice to have a thin amaray pack, just to save shelf space.

Honestly I'm glad we're getting a digipak set, even if it is limited edition. IMO too many box sets nowadays are just standard cases with a slipcover/slipbox and don't feel like a quality product, it just feels cheap. At least with a set such as this it feels like you're getting your money's worth and something that has had bit of effort put into its design.

Just my opinion though.

I sampled it and I was fine with it, until the 11th or 12th episode The Bridge, where the show started to try and go dark, but really just became annoying. I hear it got good after The Winter Soldier though...

I enjoyed it. It's certainly not the best show on tv by any stretch but it was a way to fill an hour one evening a week.
My misses had a different opinion: "I wouldn't be upset if I missed an episode". Probably sums it up quite well.

I enjoyed the early episodes that I saw but it was quite a 'slow build' with each character getting their own episode to introduce them; then it paused on the chanel I was watching it on so I didn't see the (generally more praised) latter episodes... looking forward to watching them when this comes out and I can also watch/rewatch (as appropriate) the Marvel films that 'fit in'

I found myself losing the will to live during the first episode and abandoned it immediately. Slow, sloppy, derivative, unbelievable, poor characterisation... the list of flaws was never-ending. A complete bore from start to finish. Life's too short and Marvel really dropped the ball on this one.

Except that it really takes off and becomes a great show IMO, you just need to get through the slower episodes at the start.

My order's up; seen the first 11 episodes and since it only gets better, I'm not worried .

I liked it from the beginning and I think the whole "it gets better towards the end" is BS, people confusing arc-based storytelling with good writing, when some of this show's (seemingly) episodic stories are some of the best of the season (Eye Spy, F.Z.Z.T., Repairs). But I guess people just want every issue brought up in an episode to be resolved in the same episode, or for characters to yell their back stories at each other during the Pilot.

But anyway. Is there any chance the UK gets shafted regarding extras, just like we lost the audio commentaries for The Avengers back in the day? I would pre-order it from Amazon US just to get it a month earlier anyway, if Amazon would stop blocking pre-orders...
