Arrow Spring (Horror blend of Cronenberg, Lovecraft and Linklater)

Might be really great, might be complete bollocks. But it looks unique and interesting so I'll keep it on my radar.

Heard good things about this, though I wasn't as huge a fan of the directors previous horror film Resolution as some people were. Their segment Bonestorm for VHS Viral was pretty bad. Still, this looks quite good.

Amazing movie. I don't say this lightly, but it is by far the best movie I have watched in 15 years. Sounds insane, but this is my opinion at least. I have watched it 4 times in the last week.

Can't wait to get the Blu-ray as part of my Drafthouse Alliance membership.

PS
It is on comcast on demand for 7 bucks, as well as on itunes, amazon, bittorrent pack, and some other streaming services.

Saw this like a month ago. The guy and the girl were good. Great concept, but it just dragged on and on.

Found the movie poster absolutely terrific when I saw it on Facebook a little while ago but I must admit the trailer had less impact on me. However, I'll give it a chance considering the opinions here (well, if there's a release in France which is far from being certain !)

I thought this was fine but not great. The Italian locations were beautiful and the actors were good. On the other hand its mythology struck me as muddled, at once over explained and yet pushed into the background and it ends almost like a
[Show spoiler]Disney fairytale. I probably would have preferred something a little more dark rather than this wish fulfilment fantasy. It's a bit like Dagon meets The Little Mermaid,
thought the film it reminded me of the most is Monsters, in that it's primarily a romance with the scifi/horror elements as a backdrop. But I preferred Monsters, especially it's ending which was genuinely magical. I also thought the lead actress is a good actress, but there is a contemporary quality to her when I would have liked her to be a little more otherworldly. She almost looks like a Kardashian.

Anybody else noticed the amount of drone cinematography ? It looked quite beautiful and I think we'll see a lot more of it.

I have not yet, I rented this film, but have yet to watch it.
I noticed drone camera work in Backcountry recently though. I'm not 100% certain, but some shots over the woods seemed like a drone and not a helicopter or some other typical aerial filming shot.

I actually really enjoyed this and would probably buy it. Some great FX of which i wish there were a lot more. The drone photography was stunning, really great stuff, the performances were good and the story drew me in.

The trailer and story kinda remind me of the 1981 Sam Neill flick 'Possession'. Could the makers be inspired by this cult movie?
