Thanks for the heads up. Definitely getting this title and putting my pirate DVD (well I think it is) to the bin. My DVD cuts out at the credits, has forced English dubbing and no extras to speak of.

So this will be a worthy upgrade.

It is a UK release so yes it will be fine for UK players. US players on the other hand, I have a feeling this will be locked as Weinstein has the US rights and Cineasia are distributing for Weinstein in the UK.

they are the titles with Numbers 1,12,13,14 and 15 on the spines.

This was officially announced and true to form, Dragon Dynasty misses with this big time...

DTS-HD Master Audio English 5.1 Surround only.

The UK DVD gets the Cantonese and Mandarin Dolby Digital stereo tracks along with the English 5.1 dub in Dolby Digital.

It has all the extras from the Dragon Dynasty US DVD so given that information...this is by all accounts the US version of the film.

SPL (Kill Zone) on the other hand includes DTS-HD MA Cantonese and English 5.1 tracks.

Wrong. Blu-ray version has English DTS-HD MA 5.1 as well as Cantonese and Mandarin 2.0. See here.

This is the closest to a review I've read. I've just canceled my order, might buy the DVD version for half the price

"Fist Of Legend. What can i say but a very dissapointing transfer, very grainy and there seems to be a halo around everyone. The picture varies as the film progresses, sometime good mostly poor. Not sure if this is the source material or the HD master was in poor shape.
The sound is DTS HD master audio ....English dub only!! Im not suprised as this is what the Weinstiens did with the Blu ray releases of Hero and Iron Monkey. As the film was mono anyhow im glad of the mono option for the Cantonese track.
Again extras are the same as the dvd release and in Pal."

I'd say it'd be exactly the same as the UK version (although it seems like it has 103min runtime vs 99min but I can't confirm it)

Is the US release going to be froma different studio than the UK? I did notice that Amazon.com shows 103 minutes and Amazon UK shows 99, as a previous poster pointed out. US says it's from Dragon Dynasty and UK says it's from Showbox. Or are these two distributors essentially the same? Figuring out which edition to get of these HK films is really hard! I am on the hunt big time for some good martial arts movies with nice PQ and AQ. The HK prices are a little to steep for me so I'm really hoping the US version is better than the review you give the UK
