Careful with the link as it could be fraudulent even on Amazon.

Says “Contact GMail mailing address For ORDER”. That sounds very fishy.

Strange. The DVD and 4K don't have that.

It's shipped and sold by Amazon so you're safe. Amazon are being very lax about bootlegging on their site though. A third party added a description with contact info and that's incorporated into the legit BD listing. I've seen a couple instances of this lately on there.

How did they get away with this without a lawsuit from DC comics ?

Also the movie did nothing for me another evil child ala Prodigy with a
[Show spoiler]shitty
ending. Damn that little sociopath needed a good ass whooping.

James Gunn was involved, his brother wrote it, and DC/Warner is courting James Gunn.

I watched the Blu-ray last night. I went in to this movie totally blind to the premise and overall liked it.

It was clearly meant to be a dark mirror "What If?" twist on the origin of Superman (Superboy) which was alright in itself (even if done to death in comics the past few decades, especially in "The Boys" comic and tv show) but the horror/gore elements gave the film a bit of an edge. It was also refreshing to see what's basically a horror film without the usual characters making idiot decisions at every turn. That said, the movie's far from perfect - I agree with much the reviewer on this site says about how there's no push/pull morally or emotionally with the boy once he becomes a soulless, one dimensional homicidal maniac.

The only thing that really turned me off was the credits montage that clearly was setting up future sequels with other "evil" dopplegangers of a Justice League-type bunch of characters.

The basic story of a childless family wanting a baby who appears from heaven as a God figure is as old as The Bible. And there's countless twists on the subject that are even closer to mirroring the Superman origin in comics, especially over the last couple decades.
