Shout! Factory are planning to upgrade the 4 short films in the Wallace & Gromit: The Complete Cracking Collection to 4K! it was recently revealed that these specials received new 4K restorations. The rest of the shorts will be included on BD. Additionally, the audio has been restored, and it will now include Curse of the Were-Rabbit in HD. This special Collector's Edition version is limited to 5,000 copies.

The MSRP is the same as how much the Dark Crystal and Labyrinth collector's sets are on Shout's website so I wonder if this is either similar to that (locked behind collector's set) or has additional contents not included in the original Blu-ray (Curse of the Were-Rabbit on 4K? the World of Invention series?)

This makes sense from the announcement that Shout had partnered with Aardman last year. We got Shaun the Sheep collection on blu-ray because of it, so this is in line with that. Now I wonder if Shaun will get a 4K upgrade in the future as well? Either way, I love it. Hope they include all of Wallace and Gromit (put Curse in the set).

Wonder if Shout will release all the Aardman 4Ks currently locked to the UK like Early Man and the second Shaun the Sheep movie?

Unfamiliar with the series but recall Shaun the Sheep being a really fun movie. We saw it to a completely empty theater otherwise and was surprised no one else was there for an evening showing.

This is great news! I bought the bluray set but haven't watched it all yet. Glad my purchase contributed to making this happen. I'll gladly wait for the upgrade to finish rewatching in prep for the new movie
