Gaspar Noe’s new film shot over 20 days in March and April will premiere Out of Competition at Cannes 2021.

Synopsis: A blend of melodrama, thriller and documentary that centres on a loving elderly couple growing senile together.

Is it a full film or a short from Noe?

Sounds a bit toned down from Noe’s usual work, but I can’t see it being anything less than nightmarish.

Previously announced as feature length but no runtime confirmation yet.

Sounds like this one is gonna be much more toned down than Noe’s previous work.

Sounds like Noe has made it in a lark as a bit of a practical joke to prove people wrong, as long as it’s great it should be exciting.

My first exposure to Noe was Climax (I did have a chance to watch Irreversible eons ago but couldn't muster the courage to do so) and I found it exceptionally well made but nauseating to watch, so hopefully this will be a better experience.

On the contrary, this one seems to be his most personal yet, inspired by the illnesses and deaths of his mother and grandparents as well as his own near-death experience from a brain hemorrhage. Looks like he’s starting to mature as a filmmaker.

Not a fan of their cinemas or how they treat their staff but this at least means it will go to 25-100 screens and won't be a day and date digital release due to their windowing policies.

Noe is my favorite working director. Now to begin the process of bugging my local art house to play this.

Really wish LUX ÆTERNA would get a US release.

Vortex, Memoria, Titane, The Card Counter, Nitram and Benedetta.....Seems to be shaping up like a good end year run of movies I want to see.
