The Kubrick ones are rather repetitive: the old black SB series (except for the white "2001" which doesn't belong to it) went already in this direction. However, that one was actually executed way better. This new "Full Metal Jacket" is actually a worse variation of the original theatrical poster motive.

All in all, some are better and some are worse. I rather like "Inception", "Gremlins" and "Ben Hur", but others like "The Matrix", "The Goonies" or "Goodfellas" are rather uninspired.

Same old blah blah movies that already have numerous steelbook releases. The only ones I would consider are the 3 Kubrick movies and Goodfellas since I do not own any of them yet.

i'd be interested to see what the backs look like, especially the Clockwork Orange, i'm on the fence about that one, but its orange so maybe...?

My guess is a minimalist photo centered on back with the interiors just being the solid color matching the outside.

I have just seen these on the main page on this site in the sales list, they are the ones from Amazon Germany though, I quite like the look of some of these, the Matrix, 300 and Goodfellas look nice imo, they are also pretty cheap for steelbooks and ok some are not great looking some are a pretty clean looking design.

I cannot find the German thread though.
