Nice! It's one of the very few Landis movies to have slipped past me, so it looks like a good bet.

Given that Landis never does commentaries, the track is probably from genre authorities rather than the man himself.

Landis has recorded a commentary for the Schlock DVD together with Rick Baker. So I suppose this will be it.

He also did an audio commentary on "Kentucky Fried Movie". So I guess he's not one of the "never" fraction like Spielberg or Lynch.

I can confirm this is the 2003 Landis/Baker commentary.

The 4k scan was approved by John himself and his feedback was: "The restoration looks great!"

I can second this. We pulled the original OCN from the Academy vaults and had it shipped to Germany (I think I am not spoiling anything by saying that this wasn't something the Academy liked - but it's something every library or archive absolutely hates) to do a 4k scan, which then got a new grading and was cleaned and perfected by hand, no automated grain or noise removal. It's absolutely gorgeous for a film of this age that wasn't shot on the most expensive stock available. I am tempted to say it never looked that good. And I am not saying this because I worked on it as the supervisor. I am just really happy it turned out to be in very good shape.

Plus we have a brand new interview with John on his early works with focus on SCHLOCK.

We also have various trailers, one fully restored to HD with material from the new print (the US trailer uses alternate footage, so we had to scan a contemporary print).

We even have a recipe for a great SCHLOCK cocktail, which will triple then fun when watching the film.

Yes, but got delayed over HELLRAISER TRILOGY and LEATHERFACE. It's going to be February very likely.

Usually, all Turbine releases end up on Amazon. Right now it's only listed in Turbine's own Rakete-Shop (with the bonus that you can pick your own limitation number).

I got 1111.

I've been trying to check out via Paypal for 10 minutes now, and have no idea what to do once Paypal takes me back to the Rakete Shop. Which button do I click to finalize my order? None of them seem to complete the checkout.

Will import if they release a standard amaray edition.

I can't stand these bloated (and expensive) mediabooks.

If I remember Turbine right, they first release limited mediabooks, and once they sell out, there is a limited futurepak, and then the unlimited amaray follows.
Sometimes the futurepak gets skipped (like with Miracle Mile) and sometimes there is also a digipak (like with Leatherface-2017).

I can only _recommend_ not getting the title via Amazon as this is a special edition print targeted at other distribution channels. This is a third party listing (with access to the Amazon system, it's not been listed by us). There have been listings in the past, e.g. for eXistenZ, where Amazon was unable to fulfill pre-orders as they were not getting enough stock.

Since Rakete B2B only sells to select retailers, chances are that Amazon, again, might run out of stock or not get any at all. Please note that I am explicitly not saying to get this from Rakete, although it's the official outlet for this tile. But there are many other "small" (in the meaning of friendly, niche) dealers carrying it.

Also, amazon.de tends to overcharge like 25% for Turbine mediabooks.

Sorry, wasn't aware the link was not official.

The link might be "official", but this is not a product we're distributing via Amazon (for the reasons communicated). If Amazon gets their hands at stock, it's of course legitimate to sell them - we're just not going to deliver these units to them.

Commendable (though somewhat limiting int'l sales).
