Disney's Cinderella will be released on 4K. It seems like it's a DMC exclusive though.

Release Date: March 28th, 2023.

Guessing the art work will be the same as the signature edition released back in 2019. Very happy Disney are starting to dip back into back catalogue animation titles again

Hope this is true. I would love for Disney to start releasing all their classic animation catalog to 4k.

The Disney catalog is kind of weird. People seem to prefer releases from multiple home video formats since there can be perceived changes in color grading, audio, dnr, etc. It's tough to really get a gauge on which is the preferred release for each movie when not focusing specifically on resolution, encoding and bitrates.

This is exciting! I thought they'd never go pre-1980s with the 4K releases ever! It's lost money if they don't.

Personally, I'd love to see a throw-back cover design for this one. They'd sell a lot more if they made a throwback version reminiscent of the 1980s Classic Collection videocassette cover. That, or stick to replicating an actual movie theatre poster (again, highly recommend the 1980s movie posters).

They probably know the issues with Cinderella's current master and decided to do a new one like they did to The Sword in the Stone.

Nothing against rdodolak since I know he has been right before, but I'll believe this when I see it. I would certainly rebuy all the classics in 4K in a heartbeat

You and me both, it's a shame it's locked to D+. Way underrated in my opinion.

It's available on digital, you don't have to subscribe to Disney+.
