Steven Spielberg Brainstorming 'Jurassic Park 4'
with Writer Mark Protosevich

Steven Spielberg has dinosaurs back on the brain lately. In addition to the impending launch of the television series Terra Nova on Fox in the fall, Spielberg has been meeting with screenwriter Mark Protosevich to kick around ideas for how to re-boot the Jurassic Park franchise.

Several years ago, the Oscar-winning director worked with Protosevich on a potential remake of Chan-wook Park's Oldboy that was to star Will Smith. That film ran into rights problems and didn't come to fruition, but Spielberg, who directed the first two Jurassic Park films and was an executive producer on the third, has since met twice with Protosevich to fashion a story for a potential fourth film in the franchise.

i herd somthing that sounds dumb like dinos with guns or somthing dumb

Lol yeah I heard that rumor too. I don't think it's going to happen though since Crichton died

I like the first one. I loved the sequels when I was younger but they seem pretty stupid now.

The first one was an absolute classic. Then they really went downhill, just like The Matrix.

The people in charge of making JP4 put the movie on hold after Crichton died. It will probably be made eventually, they're just taking a break from brainstorming for awhile.

Loved the first and last, the second is just filler. Can't wait for at least the fist to make it to Blu.

I personally thought the third one was terrible, but that's just me. At least the second was still on the "epic" scale and wasn't some random plane trip, it was about preserving all Dr. Hammond had done.(aside from whatever was in the book.) About the rumor with the dino's/guns...that was a script rumor WAY long ago that was easily shot down by the writers.

i heard that they were going back to the original island. also tying in whats his faces character with the dna in the shaving creme bottle that was buried under mud. if they do somthing along the lines of that, i feel like they could redeem themselves, although i liked all 3. i hope they give it a green lite.

i want like to see injen redo the first island
make it work this time
and the problems would be getting the dinos back in the cages
and do this over a couple movies
