Warner Bros Torrente 4: Lethal Crisis (2011) Blu-ray 3D [Region B Locked] [Spain only]

I don't see it mentioned a lot so I thought I'd create a thread for Torrente 4: Lethal Crisis

It's a Spanish film but the disc does have English subtitles. I personally love the whole series so was overjoyed to find that the fourth instalment was natively shot in 3D. The subtitles do clash with the pop-out a bit, but that's better than there being no pop-outs! If you like bad taste movies and can play Region B discs, I highly recommend this one.

Nice. I've only seen the first movie (and enjoyed it) but I'll check the trailer and look into this. Cool find

Never heard of this series before but it looks like a fun time, I'll have to look into getting all of them including the 4th in 3D.

For me the quality drops noticeably for the fifth one (bizarrely set in the near-future) but the first two are classics and the third and fourth aren't far off.

I bought the 1-4 box set and swapped out the fourth disc for the 3D version (which I bought separately and includes 2D on the disc anyway). I did buy 5 as well of course, just to have them all.

The first one is a classic, Watched this in 3D as well but it wasn't as good as the first one. the 3D doesn't really add anything to it either. Spanish is my native language. I can safely say it does have some funny moments.

Thanks 13th Man. Here is an interesting piece on the director. https://www.nytimes.com/2006/11/12/m.../12segura.html
I scooped this up thinking it would be the best equivalent of a ZAZ (Airplane/Naked Gun) title in 3D. Haven't watched it yet. Hoping someone starts a thread on Box Office 3D (which I have but can't get to play).

Box Office is more of a ZAZ movie for sure.

Torrente is more like a comedy version of Bad Lieutenant - the second one becomes a Bond spoof while the fourth one is mainly a prison movie. The humour is crude and low-brow, just how I like it!

Finally watched it. The humour is indeed crude. Reminded me of the comedy in Borat(with a little Archie Bunker attitude thrown in there).
The 3D was good with pop outs. I especially enjoyed the opening title sequence.

Watched this last night. Really enjoyed it. I have to say, while I was watching it I was wondering, is this a pretty unique 3DBD? I guess what I mean is, how many really crude, action comedy movies are there in 3D? Just this one? I guess I can use the word action lightly but this seems to be an odd duck. There were some moments were the alignment didn't work but overall great stuff. I'd go as far as saying in regards to regional 3DBD imports, this has to be one of the best. I doubt this will be easy to find in 2024 but it's worth the effort
