Three Amigos reboot?

Who would like a three amigos reboot? I know that they most likely won't actually do one, but with all the reboots that we've seen happened, why not?

IF they were to do it, who would you all cast as the main 3?

One of my favorite movies. What made the movie work, was the comedy of Chevy Chase, Steve Martin and Martin Short. Without them involved I don't think a remake would work realistically. Besides, you know that if it gets made, it will never live up to the original. They tried it with Ghostbusters (2016), and it was a disaster that just wasn't as funny as the originals at all.

Having said that, IF it was going to be remade, I would at the very least want to see Will Ferrell, John C. Reilly, and Steve Carell as the main Amigos. John & Will are the perfect comedic team, and with Steve with them, it would be a blast because Will & Steve bounce off of each other really well (Anchorman as an example).

I'd only watch it if it was called Three Migos, and starred Offset, Quavo and Takeoff.

This was a great premise, and the original had an almost-great cast.

I always felt if they had cast John Candy instead of Chevy Chase, this would have been a real comedy classic.

Tropic Thunder used the same premise (actors unknowingly get caught up in an actual conflict) and turned out really well but I have no interest in a straight up remake of Three Amigos.

This was remade. Several times. They are called A Bug’s Life and Galaxy Quest.

Um, no. Please keep the talentless crop of modern 'comedy' stars away from bona fide classics like this. Ghostbusters was bad enough, but at least they got soundly humiliated for their hubris.

Bonafide classic? The Three Amigos? Am I missing something here? Mixed reception upon release, mixed opinion today, three comedy icons as the stars, all of whom have made significantly better comedies. Man I'm a huge Chevy Chase/Steve Martin/Randy Newman fan (Martin Short not so much), and I love golden era Hollywood and westerns and just about everything this film lampoons or homages, and even I can't love this film!
