Since it's a new scan and the original is a little inconsistent this is an easy upgrade. Oh, and being a steelbook doesn't hurt.

I don't own the original on Blu, only a fullscreen DVD. So this looks like the way to go!

Got mine today. Glad Shout! is using tubes for their posters. I didn't open the poster nor pop in the new disc but the steelbook looks great and so does the murky, creepy disc art.

Watched bits and pieces of it today and the PQ is pretty good. A bit grainy overall but looks fine for being this old. Audio was clear and distinct, no issues.

Definitely a major step up in the video department over the previous blu-ray. My ears aren't the greatest but it could have crisper, cleaner sound as well.

Good to hear! I might get this then put the disc in the original case that has the nice theatrical art...and toss the fugly steel.

It is a new 4k scan Blu Ray, it is not UHD 4k.

I just finished watching the blu ray and the PQ was excellent, love this 4k remaster.

Great colors, filmic grain and simply a great transfer for an old film with tough lighting in night scenes.

I had no issues with the audio myself, sounded fine to me as well.

Very pleased with this upgrade, definitely blows away the previous blu ray and will be my go to going forward, a pleasure to watch.

The Steelbook itself is awesome to me as well!
