Change.org petition for continued 3D Blu-ray releases in Germany

A petition was started a few days ago on Change.org for the continued release of 3D BluRays in Germany. Check it out and sign it! It may not help but it can't hurt!

Probably a waste of time. By the looks of things it looks like before long they won't even be converting them to 3D. There won't be any new movies left to release anywhere in the world, not just Germany.

No, this is not a waste of time. Can be an important part of the puzzle! We should try everything these times. You can do it in seconds. Only thing that is sensless is, when we complain only here about no 3D disc versions in a never ending loop.

I'm now working on a little campaign for Universal Pictures Germany. Will let you know, when it is ready!

We should not wait quiet here till there is the only pancake flat announcement for Jurassic World: Dominion, Minions: Rise of Gru & Mario !!!

Let them know, we still love 3D!

Well, Dr Strangelove 2 is in Real 3D and IMAX 3D and the new trailer for Jurassic World Dominion lists Real 3D so they are still making 3D movies. We just need the 3D Blu-rays!

Hello, a petition will not change anything, they have already taken the decision to stop 3D, as with 3D TVs.

I`m pretty sure the only chance left is to encourage these companies to bring out these movies on a single Blu-ray Disc, playable 2D & 3D. They stopped 3D only discs because they think the demand is much to low now, for mass production of these discs.


Contacted Constantin Film for "Drachenreiter" & "Monster Hunter" suggesting them to press only a 2D/3D disc. It worked.

Contacted Warner/Mack Animation to bring out "Happy Family 2" on a 2D+3D playable disc - Here it is!

Let`s give it a try this way!

You should have mentioned about dubbings and subtitles... they are being released without much dubbings and subtitles. No matter release them without much of those if it won't improve/boost sales.

Do you believe for one minute that you contacting these people caused them to release these on 3D bluray??

We, as in, all of us 3D lovers are a drop of water in a 55 gallon drum. They have made their minds up long ago about 3D. It's a done deal. We may see a few this year but next year will be nothing new being released. But, if you choose to live in a dream world and think there is something we can do to change their mind, so be it. Me, I live in the real world. I wish as much as anyone ever that they would continue making and releasing these to us but it ain't gonna happen. No matter what any of do or say to them.

I think it's a a good idea. Maybe we could also ask for 4K + 2D & 3D bundles (e.g. https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Alita...lu-ray/240060/ ). They can charge more for these editions, so they could have enough profit margin to include 3D.
