As long as they include the unrated cut on the 4k (and not just the blu), I would probably upgrade. Underrated movie, marred by the fact people were expecting Robin to shoot arrows. (It's a prequel after all)

Exactly. If Universal want to get some catalogue Ridley out there then let's have Gladiator or Hannibal, but Robin Hood? Ew indeed.

WTF? Why? I never even opened my bluray of it yet. Universal, we do love catalog titles but this is ridiculous .

Damn, I loved Robin Hood. Only watched the extended cut, but genuinely thought it was excellent. Watched it with a couple of other people over the years too, and they both really liked it as well. That’s opinions for ya though.

Im a Ridley fan too but I dont know about excellent! I did like it a lot though and I have had that UK steelbook since release - I think it might have been my first blu-ray steelbook actually along with Minority Report!

I saw this in the theater and was disappointed. But last year I watched the extended version on blu-ray and was surprised by how much I liked it. I don't know if that's because of the extended changes or not, but I have a higher opinion of this than I used to.

This is a terrific film. I’ve never understood the bile aimed at it. Classical, old-school filmmaking, with a great score.

It will also be interesting, if it will be the unrated cut with or without all of the CGI blood intact.

I still think that the Director's Cut blu was a botch-up by Universal (the DC DVD had the CGI blood while the DC blu did not).

If it contains the CGI blood this time, it will also be interesting what the people who argued that the missing CGI blood on the blu was correct (and the DC DVD wrong) will have to say on the matter.

They f***ed up the seamless branching, so the bits that were meant to be uncensored, weren't.

These studios really should embrace social networking and have polls on what to make next. The releases in this age of movies are random to the point of frustration.

So has this really been cancelled? Doesn't appear on any of the Scandinavian sites any longer.

To answer all the "Why???"-s, isn't the upcoming Egerton Robin Hood movie the obvious answer?
And maybe that's why it seems to be cancelled, maybe just delayed until December.
