Hello,
Premise: to me, "Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome" is one of the most visionary movies of the Eighties and sure as hell a cinematic masterpiece. Don't compare it to "The Road Warrior", they are two different "worlds" and it would be unfair to do that. Said that, my questions: 1- At the very beginning of the movie, the plane is approaching Max from the left side... but moments later, Max falls from his caravan on the left side, as the plane was instead coming from the RIGHT SIDE. Why the reversed shot? 2- In some scenes, it appears as the Train-Truck is going very fast, especially during the second half of the chase scene. Right at the very beginning of the chase scene, few seconds before the "Plan? Ain't no plan!" speech (Pig Killer), we can see the Train-Truck is not going super fast, even if Max holds himself very strong to the train. Maybe was its speed increasing time by time? What do you think about it? Said that, after decades, I just realized that the Train-Truck was powered by methane and that's why the Guardsmen did not use the rifles or any other firearms, because they didn't want the Train-Truck to explode in millions of fragments with Master aboard. 3- In the sequence where a ragged barbarian, driving a bike/side-car, is approaching Ironbar Bassey (hanging from the pole)... the bike stumbles upon a bridge and the barbarian falls into the void... at the end of the sequence I can hear a "THUMB" sound. Do you think it was very high? I suppose the barbarian died. Moments later, even Ironbar Bassey falls into the void, but he survived LOL 4- As you already know, the survivors reach Sydney. You can see that there is no more ocean/sea. It's my personal opinion that in either the Thunderdome world and the Fury Road world, they used experimental bombs/weapons that made all water evaporate from the surface of Earth. Nuclear weapons CANNOT achieve that. What's your feedback on this? Thanks... hopefully someone will answer. Last edited by UniSol GR77; 07-03-2018 at 12:34 PM. |
