Hail. I hope this is the right form to ask this question. This evening I bought the Spiderman legacy collection at Best Buy. This set includes the three Tobey Maguire movies and the two Andrew Garfield movies and the digital codes are split into two: one for the original trilogy and one for the amazing trilogy.
When I went to redeem the two codes it said they had already been used! It said they were used in movies anywhere on December 22 and December 25. I bought this movie new and sealed so I obviously didn’t redeem them myself previously. I have never had this happen and I’m not sure how to proceed? Do I call Sony? Just return it to Best Buy? When I try to redeem them on Sony redeem.com and it gave note of when and where they were redeemed I did take a screenshot of the redemption so I have proof it wasn’t me being as I Just bought the movies today. Anyone ever have this happen? What can I do? Thank you. |

Contact Sony. Explain the situation, provide that screenshot, and show them your receipt.
It very well could be that set was purchased, opened, codes redeemed, and then resealed and returned. Or you may not have noticed a slit in the side where someone plucked the code sheet, redeemed them, and then slipped it back inside. Both instances have happened to me, actually. If Sony denies you new codes, then take it back to Best Buy and swap it for a new set. Hope that helps! |

Yeah, I had this happen with The Shallows UHD. I had to provide proof of purchase and it was taken care of. A new code was sent to me.
I also just bought the Spider-Man Legacy set. Code was all good on my end. Definitely contact the studio with your proof. They should take care of you. And if not, Best Buy is usually pretty good about this. |

For a faster solution, I would take it back to Best Buy and exchange it for another copy. Explain to customer service that the digital codes are invalid, and not redeemable for unknown reason, and they will exchange it without any questions asked. If you contact the studio, you don't know how long it's going to take for them to read and respond to your request via email, when you can just go back to Best Buy, and have the issue resolved in person instantly, then you'll be good to go.

Good morning
Thanks for the replies. I think I will just try the best buy route as I have to go there later today anyway to pick up an item. Its amazing that someone could buy a movie and then re-wrap it. This particular movie set was wrapped really well so if they actually did that, I would be impressed! I would almost say the thief deserves the codes...almost. Haha. |

I've had that before, also had: missing slip from brand new purchases (multiple times), slip code redeems the wrong movie (multiple times). Just take the issue to the respective publishing companies, they've all been accommodating to resolving my issues.
