Best of 2015

Now that most all of the big games of the year are out—the only one I'm still looking forward to is Just Cause 3—What's your top 10 games of 2015?

Mine are at the moment:

1. Bloodborne
2. Forza 6
3. Halo 5
4. Mad Max
5. Super Mario Maker
6. Rise of the Tomb Raider
7. Until Dawn
8. Project CARS
9. Star Wars: Battlefront
10. Assassin's Creed: Syndicate

I haven't yet played through MGSV or Fallout 4, so they may make my list soon, and I still need to play the campaign of Blops III. I flat out didn't care for The Witcher 3.

Honorable mentions go to Dying Light, Elder Scrolls Online, Mortal Kombat X and Resident Evil Revelations 2. And I didn't include remakes, but Gears of War, Uncharted Collection and Rare Replay were all awesome.

All in all I think it's been a great year for games, and an especially kickass one for the Xbox One. Biggest disappointment is probably the Wii U, as other than Mario Maker I haven't hardly turned it on the past few months.

Though I'd bump this topic back up now that it's actually the end of the year!

Now that I've played a few more games, my list has changed a bit:

15. Just Cause 3 (haven't finished so may be higher)

Siege is a surprise late addition—I wasn't looking forward to it at all, and I picked it up mainly to have a third game in a B2G1 deal. But so far I love it! Great change of pace from the usual run 'n' gun shooters.

I'm not picking up the next-gen games nearly as fervently as I did last-gen. There are plenty that interest me, but I seem to be holding out more and more for sales and such.

So, the only 2015 games I've played and enjoyed are (in order of favorites with my personal score attached):

1. Fallout 4 (4.5/5)
2. Mad Max (4.5/5)
3. Batman: Arkham Knight (4/5)
4. Godzilla (US release) (3.5/5)

Got The Witcher 3 as a download, but haven't even touched it yet. Waiting for AC: Syndicate, and MGSV to go on sale. Waiting for Rise of the Tomb Raider to come to the PS4 (still not motivated enough to dump money on another console).
