Thumbs up Jeff Speakman is THE PERFECT WEAPON - February 14, 2012

The Perfect Weapon Blu-ray

The Perfect Weapon Blu-ray Review

Trailer:

This film never even got a DVD release in the US. Great early 90s action cheese. Jeff Speakman aka "The Kung Fu Jew" on Blu!

Oh... my... god I think I just brought this up in the "wish list" section a week or two ago.

It doesn't surprise me that Paramount is having nothing to do with this, but rather Olive Films. Checked for reviews of their other releases, and it seems like this will at least have an adequate release in regards to A/V. However, judging by the reviews for their other releases, extras aren't to be expected.

Oh well, it certainly beats 20 year old used full screen VHS copies, or overly expensive OOP laserdiscs on eBay It'll be nice to revist a guilty pleasure that I managed to see in the theaters when I was around 5 or 6

Also, figured this would be appropriate for the subject at hand:

Those balls are in Sony's and Fox's courts, respectively... but yes, I agree. Hell, Echo Bridge will probably put the third and fourth films on a two pack blu before those two come out

I will buy it for sure. I think it`s a great film. Of course the plot is nothing new, but i really like the fight scenes. I think more Martial Arts films should use Kenpo.

Yes, but Perfect Weapon is Paramount.. Mill or Echo or a small company hopefully will pick up the tab on this

There we go. Now that is a film that I hope I still like 20 years later. As for "The Perfect Weapon" I can't remember if I really enjoyed the film or if I just loved saying the tagline 'Jeff Speakman is the Perfect Weapon."

I Come In Peace aka Dark Angel is another title on my doubtful list but I'll cross my fingers. Red Scorpion was doubtful but there's plans for it to be released by Synapse Films, hope it hasn't changed.

I'm pretty sure I'll get The Perfect Weapon; fun martial arts flick from the heyday of action movies. I miss those days. Now bring on some Chuck Norris on Blu-ray already

Wow ! I completely forgot about this movie. I remember seeing this in the movie theater. At the time I taught Kenpo Karate and Speakman also trained in the Kenpo system down in Joplin MO. So, the Kenpo guys in KC were overjoyed to see our systems moves on the big screen.

As I said I forgot about this one. I guess I'm getting a tad forgetful twenty years later. Will rent this one for sure or pick it up when it gets a sale price around 7 bucks!
