Queries into Blu Ray shrink wrap packaging

I recently found a brand new unopened copy of the original five disc edition of Blade Runner on Blu Ray. I also noticed there was a slight hole in the back cover in the shrink wrap, with a couple of slight scratches near it.

I am wondering, would the Blu Ray still be considered new and never opened regardless of the above? It's just because I'm trying to keep it in good condition so that it can be a collectable in the future. So if anyone can help me, I would greatly appreciate it.
