Default Dismember the Alamo

So I bit the bullet and decided to check out Alamo Drafthouse Dismember the Alamo this year. What a big disappointment. For those that don't know you pay for 4 "Horror" movies and you don't know what they are til they start. The theme for ours was 1980's video store.

Ours started out with Slaughterhouse but some people got upset with the pig killing in the beginning. Then we moved on to Texas Chainsaw Massacre, no problems there.

The 3rd movie was Shocking Dark. I had never seen it and it was ok for a bad movie but it wasn't horror at all. It is a sci-fi/action movie with no horror elements to it. Then the programmer showed his favorite 80's horror film and it was Killer Klowns from Outer Space. I am seriously, that movie is on cable and non cable tv every week.

So, needless to say I felt ripped off but that is the chance that was taken. There are tons of 1980's horror movies that could have been shown and this programmer went with all late 80's. Hopefully if you decide to go, your programmer has better taste.
