Looking forward to seeing this tomorrow. I've been a fan of Constance Wu since I saw here stand-up about 5-6 years ago and I've been excited to her in something this high profile...

This was an awesome movie. My life loved the book and was fairly certain I would enjoy the movie. It is a simply story in my eyes but it actually had a good bit of heart in it. The only thing I will really say is the movie plays itself in trailers as being more towards a comedy/rom-com but it honestly played more closely to a drama in my eyes even when you include the "over the top" moments.

5/5 for me in terms of pure enjoyment. Couldn't ask for much more. I hate seeing Michelle Yeoh as a mean b**** but she did it in a way that is extremely like what some Asian mothers can be like.

Holy crap. You are absolutely right. I loved this movie soooooo much but seeing Michelle Yeoh playing someone who was so mean was absolutely biting. I felt on edge every time she was on screen.

I loved this film! Sure it was a fluffy Cinderella retelling but still. Is there going to be a 4k?

We can only hope that, since its now looking to be a huge stateside blockbuster, that WB's hand is forced and they'll have to release it on 4K UHD. Unfortunately, none of their comedy output in the last year have gotten UHD releases outside of digital.

This will definitely get a 4k UHD release as it has already made 70million after 2 weeks...heading for 100+million easily next week. The lush cinematography of the costumes and scenes of Singapore will look terrific in HDR.

I really hope this gets a 4K. Beautiful looking movie. WB is hit and miss with 4K's. The Conjuring movies are huge hits but they haven't been released on 4K.

Saw it a 2nd time today. I almost never see comedies more than once in theaters.
