Criterion Belle de jour (1967)

Belle de jour Blu-ray

Belle de jour Blu-ray Review

https://www.blu-ray.com/news/?id=7473

Quote:
While the Criterion Collection will release its January slate later this month, the distributor has posted a still frame on its Facebook page hinting at a potential January title. Criterion will not confirm the film's identity until mid-October, but most believe that the picture indicates a Belle de Jour Blu-ray.

Director Luis Buñuel's classic psychosexual drama last received Criterion treatment back in 1995 on Laserdisc (Spine #290); a January 2012 release would mark its official U.S. Blu-ray debut.

The image appears to be a cropped portrait of the film's star, Catherine Deneuve (A Christmas Tale).

This hint comes on the heels of the 2011 All Tomorrow's Parties Criterion Collection film series which featured Belle de Jour in its programming schedule.

Other likely Criterion Blu-ray candidates from those screenings include Quadrophenia, Being John Malkovich, Putney Swope, The Rock, and Deconstructing Dad: The Music, Machines, and Mystery of Raymond Scott.
