The movie is shockingly clever and bizzare. My favorite scene is when Ice is talking to this older couple while they eat. (eh, might as well spoiler a 30 year old movie)

[Show spoiler]In the foreground are these salt and pepper shakers on the table dominating that portion of the screen, while the couple is tiny in the background. The way that the scene is staged and the short lens that they use makes it look like it was a forced perspective composition . . . all the way to the point where one of the couple leans forward and pick up this MASSIVE salt shaker.

So yeah, I'll totally pick this up!

I haven't seen this since it was a new release and I was like 12. The only thing I really remember is the "Drop that zero and get with a hero" line. I could see picking this up on a Kino sale.

time for a critical re-evaluation? surely, there's awesome camp value here.

unsensational story, I know, but I remember watching this twice in like a 12 hour period when my cousins slept over shortly after it came out on VHS.

Despite the cringe worthy performance of Vanilla Ice, the cinematography on this film is fantastic. I'll wait for Turbine's announcement before I make a purchase either way, depending on extras, packaging, etc.
