Default Dolby Atmos issue

I have a LG oled wallpaper tv. It comes with its own sound bar.

On a select number of movies, when I select the Atmos soundtrack I hear crackling from the speakers. This includes John wick 2, John wick 3 and joker so far on 4K uhd I am using an OPPO udp 203 but have also tried it on the PS4 (using John wick 3 Blu-ray that has same Atmos) and same issue.

The issue only happens when Atmos is enabled through bitstream. I can not reproduce the issue on Netflix Dolby Atmos ...

Have tried multiple hdmi leads, multiple discs. The soundbar is a 4.1.2. My initial thought was that the upfiring speaker is blown, but surely I would be able to hear this on Netflix Atmos. Then my second thought was that all my hdmi ports are dead.. but there’s no issue with visual or non Atmos audio.

Any help would be much appreciated.
