Meh.....I didn't care that much for that artwork. There were so many great posters for this that could serve better on a steelbook.

This releasing of steelbooks after a few months of its video release is REALLY getting old. Seriously, do one at launch, or get off the pot.

It's all Fox. They've done it before for The Revenant, The Martian, and War for the Planet of the Apes. The Shape of Water is Fox too.

I assume there's no way this'll be anything different from the WWA release. But we can hope...

Totally agree with this. I am a steelbook collector, but I bought Isle of Dogs and Shape of Water at launch because it didn't look like there would be steelbook editions. Now mere months later they finally arrive. At this point I may be done buying standard editions of movies if there is even the slightest chance of a future steelbook.

That's probably the way to do it IMO. Standard editions only go down in value while steelbooks go up(hopefully). While theres a nice rush going out day 1 to pickup your new movie i often find myself not watching the movies immediately anyway sometimes not for months. At this point i pretty much only look at steelbook releases because theres never gonna be a case of "i can't get this in standard" no matter how long i wait.

Yeah I never buy standard releases. If I want the movie, I’ll just buy a code or get it from vudu/iTunes. I still don’t have this one tho as I’ve been waiting on a deal on iTunes so I can get 4k on MA.

That’s what I plan on doing. It’s a bit of a wait, but I’m pretty confident there will be a Criterion release in the future.

Yeah, and in the meantime I bought the more expensive Zavvi edition steelbook, thinking at least it'd be a collectible, with with a US release it negates its collectibility for the most part.

Probably same artwork as Zavvi's which was awful. Too bad. Loved this movie and would love to own a steelbook of it!

I was thinking this as well. It's like wait for that then stick it in the steelbook or not to wait...

Already have the Zavvi steelbook, and love it.
Only thing that could improve it would be an eventual 4K, plus Criterion special features.

I've waited for The Grand Budapest Hotel on Criterion, but it may not happen, if it does, not until late next year or even 2020. It's cheaper by then just to spend $5 on the movie and wait.

I'll end up buying this too.
