Default The Official Cheese Thread

Who here is a fan of cheese? I am for one. I like trying new kinds so this thread was started to hear other peoples favorites and maybe even get introduced to new ones. Have fun.

I'm a huge fan of:

Swiss
Gouda-imported from Holland is awesome
Edam
Blue
Aged Sharp Cheddars
Havarti
Brie

Being from Wisconsin, I am a HUGE cheese fan. I like almost anything, and am willing to try a new kind I have never had before. My favorites are: aged cheddars, muenster, colby jack, and provolone. But, I also like a lot of others too. Basically, I love cheese.

EDIT: Forgot one other specialty cheese I really like: chocolate cheese! Yum!

I LOVE Cheese! But then...who doesn't!

My fave has always been the Smoked Gouda Spiced (with Caraway seeds). I love the velvity creaminess of a Havarti and lately I'm really liking the Jarlsberg. We sell a 6-year old Balderson Cheddar at work that is to die for, along with a Goat and Cranberry Cheese. Talk about being in heaven! LOL!

I tried to start a thread about cheese once. https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...ghlight=cheese I had a question about a washed rind cheese and wanted to know if anyone was familiar with it. I reiterate. Has anyone had Affedelice? Have you had it in an adequitely ripe state but without off flavors/aromas?

No Cheese Curds? Don't care the kind. Just something I only find when I am out there.

No squeeze cheese? I thought this was a more refined lot.

I love brie and blue. The brie goes especially well with truffle infused honey. Almost any cheese is good. I'm still trying to like goat cheese more than I actually do.

Just picked up a Notre-Dame (Quebec-Agropur) double-cream Brie. Love it!

Probably swiss cheese or "The Big Swizzle" as I often call it is my favorite but pretty much all cheese is good in my book. Anybody remember this movie quote , one of my all time favs :

"It's like you're dreamin' about Gorgonzola cheese when it's clearly Brie time, baby. Step into my office. "

As long as it is not orange, I'm good to go.
I really love Feta cheese, especially on a burger.
