Full Moon Pictures will be releasing the Charles Band production Arcade (1993), directed by the late great Albert Pyun, on Blu-ray on July 15th.

Shocking, I'd heard because of the way the early CGI VFX were done this wouldn't be possible, and I'd just bought the DVD...oh well.

This is a grail for me. Awesome news. Been wanting this in hd for years. I'll probably still keep the old LD for the PCM track. I even had this one on the obscure 'movie cd' format in the 90s.

Yeah that's the one, also had a different/lighter ending iirc. Can find a VHSrip of a screener tape of it on the web but would be cool to see it get a proper release as well.

Awesome, finally!! I have always really loved this one.

Yeah, the CGI effects are primitive and don't hold up, but it's a product of the time and IMO still works perfectly for the movie.

Does anyone else fear this might be an upscale similar to their AI upscaled Subspecies 4 transfer? It might not be worth upgrading.

Yeah the fact that it says best available elements instead of original negative has me wondering that as well.

Wow, was just thinking of the DVD I have of this one the other day. Will temper expectations as this is from Full Moon, but nice to hear about the upgrade!

That's pretty much how I see it. I was intrigued by FMV video games back then and Phantasmagoria is still one of my all time favs. Haters gonna hate. It's like seeing cell phones from twenty years ago in movies now. They were pretty cutting edge at the time. 90s cyber/tech style thrillers were a fun time, imo. The internet was such a wild west back then and the general public had so many paranoid views because it was still such a new concept with very poor organization compared to today.

It's in digital hd on stream; hopefully so. Evolver is another I've watched a lot and would like to see a blu.
