A few months back I was joking when I said, by the time Shenmue 3 comes out every single yakuza that was on ps2 and ps3, will be on ps4! Looks like it will be a reality !

Not to my knowledge. If they decide to go for 3-5, I feel like they'd probably just do a basic remaster rather than the total overhaul that 1&2 got. I think I'd also prefer that approach, since it would almost certainly allow them to go for a locked 1080p60 like 0 and Kiwami 1 had, plus I feel like the games would still look decent enough if you just ported them over. And it would certainly be easier than taking the Kiwami approach for all 3 games, and I want the Yakuza team to be able to work on new projects instead of remaking the same games over and over.

I'd be okay with a basic remaster of 3. From what I can tell, I have no way to play it right now without spending a bunch of $$$. I own 0 and Kiwami, with Kiwami 2 and 6 coming soon, and I own 4 and 5 digitally from PS+ on my PS3. But no way to play Yakuza 3!!

These seem to be selling pretty well so I've still got hopes that a remastered 3 comes out at some point.

Six main games. Shin Ryu Ga Gotoku is in developmen and there have been several spinoffs. This is a series that has been around since 2005.

Remasters are not new games in the series. But there are about 13-14 games if you include the spin-off games, side-story games and just ones that are only available in Japan.

They really are. I recently went though my PS4 collection and noticed more than 50% of them are in steelbooks.

Did my yakuza 6 disc just glitch on me? Im on chapter 3 and theres a couple areas in the game still marked of with big fat red x"s. Does this have anything to do with carrying over the save from the demo? Should I erase the save file,and start the game from scratch?

this isnt a remaster, its a remake and as such, is a new game. He isnt wrong in his statement though, which if you coudlnt tell was laced with sarcasm
