UB820/UB9000 Region B Lock Bypass / Top Menu Trick

The goal of this post is to compile all of the discs that work with the top menu trick on the UB820 / UB9000. You can do this on any of their players that use the Uniphier chip.

Please reply with any titles that you know of, and don't include any that are just region free on their own.

If you don't know what the top menu trick is - you can use it to bypass the region lock screen on certain Region B discs. Edit: It seems you can do this on Region B players for Region A discs too. There is now a section for Region A discs that work with the trick.

Once you see the region locked screen on a Region B disc, press the stop button on the remote. A black screen showing an Ultra HD logo should pop up - from here, press top menu a few times and it should bring you to the main menu. Some discs won't even have a locked screen, and will just bring you to the black screen immediately.

These will be UK unless noted otherwise. It seems most Arrow, Indicator, Radiance, and Eureka work with the trick.

Speaking of Mike Hodges, the Arrow release of CROUPIER also works with the bypass. The documentary on the extras disc is one of the best I’ve seen made for a home release.
