I received an email from moviespree.com today, not sure where they got my email address as it is not the same one that I use for millcreek.com; however a LOT of the content looks eerily similar to MC content, a whois lookup shows some similarities in domain registration and their Facebook page links to the MC website.
...not sure if it is legit or not but a heads up for anyone with a MC account just in case. |

Yeah, Movie Spree appears to be Mill Creek.
https://www.cordcuttersnews.com/movi...ou-signup-now/ You can enter the promo code MOVIESPREE100FREE to get 100 free movies from Movie Spree. It's mostly rubbish, with the quality resembling one of those DVD 100-pack sets, but free is free. No personal or financial information is required, just an e-mail address and a name, which can be anything. After that, you get access to 100 more movies for $1, but with no PayPal option and no clear way to see what the next 100 are, no thanks. Roku channel here: https://channelstore.roku.com/details/290515/spree |

Free is free though, I signed up for those 100 films. Wonder if I'll watch any of them before they are gone though.. |

Is anyone having a problem loading this on Roku? When I click on it, nothing happens and it takes me right back to the menu screen.

I'm glad I never bothered with this service. When I started buying the Andy Sidaris movies from Mill Creek, they came with a digital code, but you could only activate them on MovieSpree. No thanks, never even tried. Sounded shady from the git-go.

I redeemed codes for several of the Ultraman blurays in there, and I even actually bought a couple of the movie bundles, and but I never really used the service much because it was just so clunky and hard to keep track of what episodes you had watched already.
I won't miss it despite losing some $$ on the stuff I bought. |

Airplay does work with it. Guess I should watch everything I've got on it before they take the site down also.

For anyone that didn't get the email, MovieSpree has shut down all their apps on all devices as of Oct 1st 2021.
The only way remaining to access content is through their website. And you might have to contact support to get a temporary password that will allow you to login, then reset your password to something else. Since many people on other social media have reported their old moviespree login passwords no longer work. Rumor also appears they've disabled the ability to redeem any codes on their website. The unexpired new codes I have that are supposed to be valid for redemption until Dec 2022, no longer work. Seen others posting about the same redemption issues. I contacted support and got them to manually add the codes I had that would not redeem. Will need to provide an image of the code with the physical disc. You are also unable to purchase any titles on their website now. Seems Millcreek is looking to exit the streaming service during 2022 (when the contract for some of their streaming titles rights end). And migrate their remaining digital content to their youtube channel. Quote:

I guess it should've gone without saying that a Mill Creek streaming service would be just as bungled as the majority of their blu-ray transfers/encoding. Sorry for the people affected by this, though. Sucks to lose content/money. I wonder if they will ever be a company that doesn't just release quality movies(sometimes), but also releases a quality product with those movies on it.

Don't know if anyone has checked lately, but I was not able to log onto the moviespree web site. It gives me a message that my password has "expired", and if I try "forgot password", I don't get a message. If anyone was hoping the collections might still exist, they might have been wiped? I see both moviespree and Mill Creek have a presence (as promised) on youtube, but I don't see any way to access accounts/collections there (yet, if ever).

Was just able to login without any issues, I would try emailing them to reset your passwords…
