I've got it, it's a pretty decent transfer considering the film's age.

Just checked the case, it's region-free

I just watched it again and I think it has a very good transfer, sound isn't AMAZING but it doesn't need to be. I think it's perfect.

Region free.

Anyone have the complete specs for the UK version? Specifically, does it include an option for the original mono audio like the US version and does it include the book that the US version has?

Mine didn't come with any book, but it was pre-owned, so maybe a book comes with it if you get it new? Sorry, I don't know anything about that

Thanks for the scan. I think the booklet must not be included in the UK version or it would be listed on the back cover. It would be nice to have, but not at over 3 times the cost of the UK Blu-ray!

No worries, glad I could help. Yeah, I'd say get the UK release and then buy the book that was recommended by HotRats, the BFI Modern Classics books are really good.

I had the pleasure of watching this this morning. A tremendous transfer I thought considering its age. One question, on the main menu on the top left of the screen theres a icon shaped like a motor but appears to do nothing when selected other than make a reving noise. It must have some function, any ideas?

It is great to know this classic is now released on blu-ray. Ever since I saw it back in the day I have loved this movie.

Received the 4K of this today in the USA, shipped from the UK. Very nice slipcase. Includes a region ABC Blu-ray from 2011, but I will be playing the 4K.
