This film is the Evil Dead of blu-ray releases. I would finally pick it up with a new transfer.

If they don't finally release a new transfer for this, I don't know what to say.

I'll probably end up buying it anyway but I am really hoping for a new transfer and lossless audio, as is pretty much everyone else I assume.

This has to be a brand new transfer and finally Dts HD 5.1 audio or I can't imagine Scorsese being involved without this film finally getting its due.

Being that it's Warner I wouldn't hold my breath on a new transfer...but it sure would be nice.

After all of these re-releases, it (new scan) has to happen at some point especially with 4K Blu to be released in a year.

It would be nice of WB would also finally release the After Hours BLU that it was rumored Scorsese was working on.

This should be a new remastered edition. However, knowing WB, we can probably (at best) just expect an upgrade to lossless audio. WB needs to jump on the 4K Blu-ray bandwagon.

The only way in hell I would ever buy this again is IF it's mastered in 4K or giving some sort of remaster treatment and lossless audio. If this only contains a few new extras like interviews or whatever along the same ole video and audio, it will be Warners, or for that matter, any studios most epic fail since BD was introduced.

Is there going to be any improvement to the PQ when compared to this:

I already own that set, and it includes this movie.

The image isn't displaying, so I'm guessing Diamond Luxe with the same old stupid disc and then a bonus disc.

New interview w/ Scorsese could be a good omen for new transfer. So, don't lose your hope just yet.

No image yet, it was just a pic of the poster. It'll likely be similar to the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory 10th Anniversary ed. which has the movie in a standard case, and comes with a separate hardbound book housed in a boxset.

If the film has a lossless audio track (and an improved transfer), then I'll double dip.

New extras are nice but remaster matters more, especially audio. Greatest movie of all time.
