Default Berserk The Golden Age Arc Act 1 | Act 2: Aug 6

Berserk: The Golden Age Arc II - The Battle for Doldrey Blu-ray

Berserk: The Golden Age Arc I - The Egg of the King Blu-ray

Anyone know if this will have a general release or by mail order only? Plus any info that can be provided other than what's on Bluray.com will be much appreciated.

It's a wide release, available at Amazon, Walmart, etc.. I haven't seen it yet, but I definitely plan to as I really liked the original anime series (even though it didn't really sew everything up nicely)

Same for me. I enjoyed the series immensely even if they didn't end it.

Ya preordered @ Amazon. Pretty good movie. If you liked the TV series or the manga you'll like this. Some of the CG is a little jarring.

Today's the day. According to BB's website it has an NC-17 rating. Interesting .....

Don't get too excited. The first two films got a PG-12 rating in Japan, which admittedly tend to be only somewhat more risque than the American or UK equivalents.

The third film got an R-18 for sexual content, though... expect that last reel to be a real eye-opener.

Haha, I know, that's why I found it interesting because it didn't seem like it warranted an NC-17 rating. So I guess this trilogy will end just like the episodes?

There's going to be more than 3 though. it's just 3 for the golden age arc. they are doing the entire manga series in trilogy format. 3 movies for each arc.

Well Movie I was just around 10months that the blu-ray came out after it opened in Japan. So with that thinking could be any time from April/May through the Summer I would think.

Also, I guess Movie I did not come with any slipcover?

I preordered movie 1 and it did not come with a slip, nor have I seen it with a slip in stores (namely Best Buy).

So i guess they've said they are going to be making more films after they complete this trilogy

love love love love the manga. can't wait until the next one comes to blu in america. I have heard from friends that the second film is better than this one, which I thought was pretty good.

Best Buy

Tomorrow is the release for this. Best Buy is showing it'll be $21.99. I hope they have this in store like the first one so I can use my $5 U&S coupon. Anyone else looking forward to Arc 2?

If you order from RightStuf you can get a free Band of the Hawk drink cooshie. I'm going to have to watch carefully and see if Griffith uses one.

Looking forward to adding this to the collection. For what it's worth, the first movie in the trilogy is by far the least interesting, so it's all uphill from here on out.

And I dunno about drink holders, but keep your eyes peeled for this sexy cross-promotion action...

[Show spoiler]

This IS a real ad in Japan, but sadly there's no last-minute plot twist where Griffith and Guts have to overcome zany adventures to get to Lotteria to get a bite of that sweet, sweet Teriyaki Burger... hey, it worked well enough for Harold and Kumar to get two sequels, right?
