I noticed that when I play a Blu-ray in PowerDVD Ultra 15, if I pause for about 3 minutes, the disc in the drive stops spinning, like it's going into sleep mode. When I unpause the Blu-ray the movie continues playing but the Blu-ray drive is not reading the disc as I don't hear it spin and the activity light on the drive is not flashing. About 20 seconds later, the disc starts spinning and the drive start to read the disc but their stuttering for about 4 seconds then the stuttering is gone but sometimes lip sync issues will appear after that stutter as the drive starts spinning the disc again. I also tried Leawo Blu-ray Player and I don't get that issue with that software. I'm assuming PowerDVD Ultra 15 caches ahead what is playing on the disc since it's still playing the movie after a long pause without reading from the disc for about 20 seconds. I'm also assuming that Leawo Blu-ray Player does not cache ahead of what is being played on disc. I also tried a trial version of PowerDVD 18 and I'm getting the same issue with the stuttering as 15. Is there a way to disable disc caching in PowerDVD Ultra 15 if it actually caches what is being played from disc?
