Default Serious Lack Of Great Movies About Werewolves Recently

I have to go all the way back to 2002 to find and really good one, and that was Dog Soldiers. The rest have been pretty terrible. Conjuring 3 sounds like it might be about Werewolves so that does give me some hope about finally getting another good werewolf film.

Why do you think it is that we haven't had any truly great ones since 2002?

Late Phases was ok but I didn't like the monster design though.

I wouldn't call them great but I'd call them good--- I enjoyed Late Phases and Howl....

The remake of The Wolf man is probably the best since 2002.....

hey! Somebody should start a "best werewolf movie" poll!

I am sure they will come back again. We have almost phased out paranormal/saw. Now we are stuck in ghost stories. Vampires were done with about 4 years ago. Just give it some time.

Taika Waititi pitched one, but nothing concrete has come of it yet. There is a TV show called Wellington Paranormal focusing on the two police officers from the film.

I’m one of the few fans of the 2010 Wolfman. Atmosphere for days, great score, fantastic makeup, tense visceral werewolf attack scenes.

The Wolfman 2010 deserves more respect in my opinion.

I also enjoyed the remake of The Wolfman, especially the extended cut.

I love werewolf movies. Sadly they don't make many except cheap DTV ones. Time to reboot Ginger Snaps. I did really enjoy Howl as well.

With Stephen King being really hot right now I won't be surprised by a Silver Bullet remake. Love the original so I'd welcome one.

Always wanted a Dog Soldiers sequel directed by Neil Marshall. Shame that never happened.

Thumbs up

I also enjoy the Wolf Man remake. I don't get all the hate for it.

More recently, I liked Late Phases and Wolfcop.
