Just watched this film recently on DVD, and I thought it was an incredible and dark piece of cinema. The cinematography really stood out amongst the pack, with nods to Michael Mann’s Thief and Gaspar Noe. This is the type of films that need to be made in the UK, but most stuff just falls into either utter trash (Sweeney remake), or too concerned with ‘issues’ to really be cinematic.
I Checked on this site and there only seems to be 2 Blu Ray releases worldwide, a french release with forced subs, and a Japanese release that doesn’t provide English subtitles to the sections in Albanian/Russian. Come on Arrow, or Indicator! This is a forgotten cult movie That needs a reassessment. |
