Blu-ray Samurai

I’ve only encountered this twice. Recently with The Departed. I loaded it up and it went to the WB logo, then it went back to the main BD screen selection. I ejected it and put it back in. This time it didn’t load up, and it wouldn’t eject. I turned it off the green light didn’t turn off. I had to unplug it. This happened twice.
The other disc was American Gangster. This time it would go to the main title screen, but wouldn’t let me select a menu. Like not even the highlighted/line selection would appear. Weird thing is both gave me no issues on my PS. And my player is Sony too. Shit is irritating. |

Blu-ray Knight

That would happen intermittently on my old Sony as well. It got several good years of use before that started happening though, so I fixed it by buying a new player.
This topic probably should be moved to the Blu-ray Players and Recorders forum too so the natives won’t get restless. ![]() |

This is why any serious collector should have at least two players, just to spot-check discs that have playback issues on one of them.
