I've been wanting this on BD for years now.

Interesting thing about this film is that unlike most cult films from the era, this one was actually a big mainstream success at the box office with almost $40 million. $114 million adjusted for inflation. Pretty damn impressive when you look at the other films it had to compete with during it's run: Conan the Barbarian, Rocky III, Road Warrior, Wrath of Khan, Poltergeist, E.T., Firefox, Blade Runner, The Thing, Tron, An Officer and a Gentleman, Porkys, Chariots of Fire...

I've had the MCA VHS for a long time and I never bothered to pick up the long-OOP DVD. Glad to see it's getting a better release and certainly a day 1 for me!
