Looks ridiculous. I love Brosnan so I'm in.

any movie centered around soccer can't be very good. One of the most boring and overrated sports in the world.

But since I like Brosnan and have been fairly impressed with Bautista lately, I may have to give it a shot, even if it just looks like a paycheck movie for both of them.

Bautista and Brosnan rock, but soccer is the worst. No thanks.

You clearly haven't seen a match of cricket.

15 years ago your post would've triggered me something rotten, but having fallen out of love with FOOTBALL a while ago for reasons nowhere near your own for disliking the sport, I'm willing to give the film a go. Btw, football is neither boring nor overrated, but the fans are annoying af.

Is Brosnan dubbed? Doesn't sound like him.

Film could be amusing fodder, comes off like an even less intelligent redux of Sudden Death.

I'll watch a test match any day of the week (or I guess any week of the month) over a soccer game. I'd watch professional bass fishing or bowling or even Suicide Squad before watching a soccer game.

I won't defend the sport, but I guess it's a cultural thing dependent on location. As a pure spectacle minus the sideshow of the entertainment / celebrity aspect of it, I think it's enthralling. It's comparable to chess in a way. I feel the same way about American Football as many Americans feel about association football.

In order to enjoy soccer you need to go to an Irish pub and get drunk as hell and yell obscenities at the telly when The Green Army isn't winning.

Well... that's what I do anyway

With many countries, soccer is all they have. Cheapest team sport with a ball to play and can be played anywhere. That means all the best athletes play soccer and then it becomes a matter of national pride. Still doesn't excuse fans from cutting the head off a referee though.

2013 amateur soccer match in Brazil. Player gets red card, refuses to leave, throws punch at referee, referee pulls out a knife and repeatedly stabs player (who later dies), fans overtake referee and proceed to quarter and behead him. Perhaps the ref got what he deserved, but it was still mob justice. Plus this sort of thing would never happen in any other sport.

Too bad most people have never heard or seen Australian Rules Football. The most entertaining sport in the world and hardly any movies are based around it. I wish more countries played it. Soccer is just so boring.

Back to the movie, its looks good, better than skyscraper.
