I was wondering if anyone has experience with any Test DVD kits that help you adjust and test picture setting and quality, as well as sound. I have seen kits that come with gels that you look through to adjust Hue and brightness and contrast.
Anyone have any input? Thanks in advance |

Is the calibration test on Ratatouille the same THX Optimizer in Finding Nemo and Lion King? If so did you actually order the red calibration goggles they require?

Great Heads up guys! Thanks, I will try the disney thing. I heard that the one that comes with RGB gels to view through is the only way to go, and it makes sense to me, but I would love to meet someone who tried them!

From what I understand, unless you're able to access the service menu, you won't be able to calibrate the blacks as well as you could by accessing it. I'm not talking about the standard remote menu. Pulling blues out of whites and adjusting blacks is a bit more involved than the standard kit can offer.

It should be. the more recent one you use, the better. The "glasses" I ordered were actually blu and I got them straight from THX. You should dtill be able to have an option to adjust it without the glasses

I'm not sure about that. I didn't care for those movies so I don't have them. You can look on the back of THX certified movies and if it has the THX Optimizer, you can use that to calibrate your TV.
