Looks like Capelight are releasing Beyond Reanimator on bluray in typical mediabook fashion. I got the first 2 on mediabook so be good to get this too but the current 2 HD releases of this the Umbrella one is meant to look like crap and the Vestron edition meant to look better. Anyone know what transfer Capelight will use?

That's great! I'll bet that Capelight is kicking Vestron's ass in this one.

The Capelight disc of BEYOND RE-ANIMATOR seems to have an authoring glitch. At timecode 1:25:06 a black bar appears at the top of the frame (looking similar to a widescreen bar of a cinemascope image) becoming smaller and smaller until disappearing at 1:25:20.
Can anyone who owns the Vestron release please check if this black bar appears on their disc, too? |

Capelight BD is a DNR mess of Predator UHE proportions. Vestron wins easily. |

Yep, I would tend to agree... To me, the Vestron has more depth, and definitely more contrast and saturation. I'm one to like that anyway over most 'Purests' preferences (thus my not particularly liking EVERY 4k remaster that comes along... Many of them to me usually look more 'subdued' and 'bland' even though many reviews may claim that they are more 'Natural' looking or that there is more detail - I like things to JUMP out at me
