Blu-ray Ninja

This may sound like a stupid question, but... Is it possible that a 4K TV, like say, my Hisense 50'', can actually Upconvert the Video signal coming from Vudu? I was watching Star Wars: The Phantom Menace HDX, and for some odd reason, I thought it looked... more 4K-ish. Maybe it's just me.

So lets take a movie like Blade Runner for example. How good will it look if i stream my VUDU HDX copy? Will it look better if I play the blu-ray? How about buying the 4K blu ray vs just buying a digital 4K? I've got so many titles I want to upgrade and just looking at my library it feels like an insurmountable task. There should just be a digital upgrade option and then I could just buy the most important ones on 4K discs.
