Watched this and thought it was one of the better looking Animation 4K HDR discs it might be the best out of Angry Birds, Ice Age and Secret Life of Pets.

I thought it was way too dark.... especially compared to Secret life of Pets. I don't recall the movie being that dark in the theaters, will try out the bluray disc tomorrow to compare. So far Pets and Peanuts are the two best animated films.

Using an OLED E6

Yikes. 2K DI and no object audio. What's the point in this UHD disc then?

Thank for the reply, however.

Please enlighten me what's the difference between studio upscaled vs player upscaling? You still can't get something out of nothing. Or am i wrong?

Just watched life of pets and angry birds back to back

Angry birds blows it away. And storks isn't even in contention

And life of pets is very nice. But angry birds is rediculous.

Agreed completely. Of those 3, I'd rate Angry Birds at 1, Life of Pets at 2 and Storks at 10. lol

Honestly the first uhd I wouldnt recommend. If you really like the movie, get the blu. Otherwise rent the blu.

The difference is the studio starts with a high bit-rate WCG master, so there is some fine detail there, that has already been filtered out on the blu-ray, so they are giving you more than a player upscale can of the regular Blu-ray.

I watched this earlier, totally expecting to list it for sale/trade afterwards, but, I loved it. Might even have felt a murmur in the blackness of my soul at the end. Stupid feels!
