Default ClearPlay on VUDU

So anyone notice these links pop up on VUDU's website: "Watch family friendly version with ClearPlay"? Seems to mostly appear on 2018-2017 titles (for now anyways). Haven't seen it on any R-rated releases, just PG-13 or below. Never heard of ClearPlay until now.

This reminds me when Sony tried and failed to add censored versions on VUDU (aka "Clean" versions) last year before they were forced to remove it. It was an eyesore seeing a sloppy put together "+ CLEAN VERSION" banner on all of the artwork when they added that feature.

Anyone have any info they might have come across lately over why VUDU added this? When you click on the link, it says it's an optional third-party extension that you can add for Google Chrome (I'm on Firefox). Sooo... seeing as I have absolutely no use for this, I'm on a different browser, how do I opt out (from seeing these links on a bunch of my movies)?
