Same here. Not that I'd have regretted buying the Blu for a second as this show is astonishingly good, but with the U.K. set being some squinky 1080i50 encode and the US import being a bit pricey (and I kept missing all the low price offers!) then I never got around to it.

I wonder how much improvements we might get from HDR and WCG. I'll probably be getting it regardless, since it's a great series.

I watched it on streaming, and have the Blu-ray but did not get around to watching that yet. Might sell the BD unwatched at a loss and get the 4K BD. Not ideal and I would have preferred that the 4K BD was released at the same time as the BD.

If the DP says it was delivered in 4K then I believe him over the IMDB specs. And as this was intended for TV then a 4K finish was far more likely than if it were a movie, it's mad how much TV stuff is being finished in 4K right now.

Own the Blu but will double-down all the same.

Like I said in the international thread, I would definitely watch this again in 4k.

Not a big deal already having the blu as it only cost me 5$ (10$ on sale and 5$ from the code)

I held off on the UK release too, and ended up getting the US version for £8.23 (£13.51 including postage) on Amazon US.
Probably would buy a 4K version if it’s a decent enough improvement.

The question is what "delivered in 4K" means. I interpreted it as that it will be delivered on 4K BD. If so it could still have a 2K DI as indicated by IMDB.

No. He was talking about the post pipeline for the show, not the discs. Look at the date of the message, that's from May last year when no 4K disc was in the offing. "Deliverables" are what professionals refer to the final masters as.

I'm wondering if this has replay value. I mean, most good movies and TV shows do, but I'll probably wait a few years before I rewatch this. Not any desire right now at all.

I bought le french HBO release last year to avoid that shite UK one or the expensive US one, but I won't hesitate to re-buy. As good as the 1080p discs are, this show is crying out for a nice HDR grade. Now, if we could just entice HBO into doing Deadwood.....

I have the UK steelbook, so I might just put the 4K discs in that.

This had a soundtrack I really enjoyed. Hoping for an atmos mix but as the bluray didn't gave one (or did it?), I'm not holding much hope but still very excited by this.
