Default 4k Predator redemption: does it matter which service?

I don't have a 4K Blu ray player yet (expecting one for Christmas) and I was gifted a 4K of the new Predator movie.

Seperate from that, I have a ton of codes redeemed in various services and usually watch them via the Vudu app on my Roku. Don't have a 4K roku yet. I wan't to make sure I don't redeem the code in a service that doesn't support 4K (I remember seeing complaints).

So does it matter which service I use now? Should I redeem it in Vudu? MA? Does it matter?

Always check 4ksheet . com for best way to redeem UHD codes. With Predator I think it's only possible to redeem it into Movies Anywhere and nets you 4K rights everywhere from that. Other codes are sometimes more picky to get the best quality.

Vudu over MA. Use 4ksheet.com for your 4k redemption options, it definitely matters. If Vudu and MA are both an option, pick Vudu.

To clarify Vudu is sometimes more beneficial that it offers you a license in both Movies Anywhere and Ultraviolet (versus just Movies Anywhere on other platforms). Since Fox and Universal dropped UV support with new releases I think Sony is the only one that still allows both MA and UV so it might be somewhat moot. Also for this to work Vudu must offer the title in the quality you are redeeming otherwise your code will be irreversibly downgraded. Conversely redeeming directly into MA when possible has the advantage of typically ensuring best quality (excepting in cases of older Fox HD codes that upgrade to UHD only if redeemed through iTunes - 4ksheet will automate this by telling you best route).

you can also check a code in a private browser while not signed and check what format you are going to get before redeeming. I burned my grease 4k code so i had to slog through customer support to get it a replacement code.
