Sounds more devastating than the Warner news.

B&O make really expensive audio equipment. Although the vibe i get is that its expensive because of the looks, not the sound quality.

An extremely minor event, but a good one nonetheless. Anyone dumping HDDVD is good.

Seems like they have been dropping a lot lately. Their store closed at a very upscale mall by my house. they have been at the Somerset Collection for over 15 years I think. I like to believe they are over-priced and there are a lot better products out there. One thing I did like from them was the long slim shaped house phone that was $2 grand. I wanted it because it looked nice and just to say "yea, I have a $2000.00 phone for my house".

LOL! Not like your typical HD-DVD zealot "It's cheaper so it's better" was ever going to buy Bang and O' anyways.

Insignificant, but always nice to read about "HD DVD getting dropped by somebody".

It's yet another small indicator of an overall domino effect that HD-DVD zealots are still in grand denial about.

Heh heh - good point.

Every supporter that pulls out though brings us one day closer to toshiba throwing in the towel and letting us get on with more important matters, like watching movies.

For those unfamiliar with B&O, they do both very high end audio and very high end video, concentrating on highly unusual designs. They are actually a pretty big company world-wide (I don't have the figures handy but it's surprising how much they sell at the prices they ask.) This is probably more relevent for AVS readers, though.

Check out this link to see what one of their DVD players look like.

An HD DVD B&O player would have been an oxymoron anyways
